Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in the Akita breed and the Squaw Peak Akita Club. 

We are a group of people who love the Akita breed. Many of our members are breeders who show their dogs, while the rest of us are owned by our Akita companions. We have regular meetings, an annual picnic with games for the dogs, a booth at Phoenix's annual Matsuri Festival, and a Christmas party with  a gift exchange for our four-footed friends.

We are always looking for new members to join our group. Our membership has a varied background in dogs in general and the Akita breed in specific. The benefit of a club is to share information and support each other when problems arise. We support Akita rescue efforts whenever possible. We also have a local list of breeders available (see link at left).
